Descendants

A family drama set on the islands in and around Hawaii. The plots centers around the trials of a man (George Clooney) seeking to reconnect with his family and reestablish normalcy after his wife's unfortunate coma.
Along the way certain facts alight to his wife's meandering, and the looming pressure of being the executor of an estate's inevitable relinquishment owing to state requirements add more chop to the frothy waters being coursed.

Heir to virgin lands, the sale of which would entitle him and extended family members a princely sum is expediting matters. The intended recipient of the lands is a matter which also concerns the denizens of the island.

His daughters, who eventually seem to compound the already escalating situation turn out to be his confidante and sanctum. A unlikely addition (Nick Krause), whose sole purpose as comedic relief, turns out more of a grounding factor than expected. The older daughter (Shailene Woodley) who seems to be sole pillar of strength seems to have been imbued with some form of patronage to Lolita or the Swimming Pool with the candid portrayal of budding sensuality.

Whilst traversing the path to reconcile with his daughters, ensure the veracity of matters doesn't overshadow the gravity of what matters to others over his own, the plot neatly ties up in the end and manages to take the viewer on a spiritual journey of sorts through life, choices and finality.
